Gumel College lauds Gov Namadi for release of N17m for casual workers

The Management of College of Education Gumel has commended governor Malam Umar Namadi for the release of over N17 million as outstanding payment for casual workers who were sacked in 2013.
This was contained in a statement signed and issued by the registrar of the college Malam Bala Isyaku.
“The total sum of seventeen million, twenty eight thousand naira ( 17,028,000 ) has been paid to the successfully screened two hundred and three (203 casual workers) through online payment via UBA bank”, he said.
According to the statement, the commencement of the payment begins on Friday 22/10/24 after the screening exercise conducted by the management staff with supervision of Council members.
The statement maintained that, out of the total number, about 14 persons didn’t appear before the committee up to date and urged them to avail themselves at the college for screening in order to be paid their entitlement as approved by the governor.
