The newly elected Executive Chairman of Gwagwalada Area Council, Hon. Mohammed Kasim, has pledged to mirror the infrastructure drive of FCT Minister Barr. Nyesom Wike to deliver community-focused projects across the council.
Kasim made the commitment during a grand reception organized in his honour by the Gwagwalada Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Unveiling early progress under his administration, the Chairman announced the procurement of several electricity transformers for immediate distribution to underserved communities across the Area Council.
“I remain fully committed to emulating the transformative work of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike to execute meaningful, impactful projects across Gwagwalada,” Kasim declared to the gathering.
Top party stakeholders at the event rallied support for the new administration.
National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Abdulrahman Mohammed urged Kasim to build on the legacy of past PDP chairmen and prioritize rural development and basic amenities.
Similarly, FCT Chairman, Alhaji Ismaila Mohammed assured the council boss of full national party backing while calling on residents to support the administration.
Not left out, Hon. Abdullahi Y. Umar lauded Kasim’s early “radical steps” toward grassroots development.
Ex-Chairman of the Council, Hon. Adamu Mustapha Deze advised Kasim to strike a balance between physical infrastructure and human capital development.
