The leadership of Gwagwalada Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has appointed Mr. Abubukar Gani as the Village Head of Geshi community.
Our correspondent reports that the appointment letter of the new Village Head was signed by the Director in charge of the Administration of the council, Mr. Muhammad Musa Loko.
Speaking during a media interview, the new Village Head of Angwan Geshi, Mr. Abubakar Gani, noted the importance of open leadership style, as he would carry everybody along in his Chiefdom.
The new Village Head therefore called on the residents to co-operate with him, for the overall development of the community.
On his part, the Madaki of Geshi Community Alhaji Abubakar Muhammed, who is the father to the Village Head, thanked the present leadership of the Area Council as well as the Aguma of Gwagwalada, Alhaji Muhammadu Magaji for appointing his son as the royal father in the community.
The Madaki Geshi, therefore, advised the people of the community to continue to live in peace with one another for the sake of promoting togetherness, which is pertinent to ensure effective development of the community.
