Unidentified gunmen at the weekend assassinated the former chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Dobi ward, Alhaiji Husseini Dobi of Gwagwalada area council.
A source said the incident occurred in the house of the deceased around 2a.m.
The source further disclosed that a 15-yr-old daughter of the deceased was taken away by the gunmen during the incident.
Already there was panic in the community as a middle-aged-woman whose house is closed to the deceased slumped during the gun shot and died in the hospital.
Meanwhile, some of the police who spoke to our correspondent confirmed that the matter was already reported to the Gwagwalada Police Command and that investigation was ongoing.
