Director of the Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board (FCT-MPWB), Kadiri Edah, has assured the prioritisation of the health, safety and wellbeing of pilgrims before and during Hajj exercises.
Edah noted that the FCT Administration would continue to do so, by maintaining high standards of facilities both home and abroad.
He added that the FCTA through the Board would do everything possible to ensure that all pilgrims are prepared to remain healthy throughout the period of Hajj.
The Director spoke recently while visiting the Hajj Camp, FCT Hajj Transit Camp in Bassan-Jiwa, near the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, following the general fumigation of the Camp.
It was gathered that the fumigation was prelude to the commencement of the 2025 Hajj operations in Madinah and Makkah in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Also, the fumigation exercise was being carried out at the facility by the officials of the Port Health Services of the Federal Ministry of Health, ahead of camping of intending pilgrims for 2025 Hajj exercise.
