The new President of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Olusola Ladoja has called for unity, protection of NANS from misinterpretation, and a prayer for the media to be remembered as architects of a new era.
Ladoja made this call while addressing the media, in ane press conference in Abuja .
He emphasized the importance of truth and transparency in shaping public opinion.
While addressing internal disputes, he asserting NANS’ legitimacy through democratic processes.
He assured that his administration’s focus includes strategic education reform, human capital development, peace building, and international partnerships.
He commended the federal government’s Nigerian Educational Loan Fund for supporting students’ academic dreams and pledged vigilance in ensuring its transparency.
“This administration was begged through the rightful process, recognized by the student body and by the grace of history, it will stand faith, not as a momentum to one man’s vision, but as a movement led by purpose, integrity and service.
“This is not an era for fanfare and political dramatic. This is an era for results, from education to empowerment, from student welfare to nation development.
“We have a mountain to climb, but we shall not climb it alone. This is why I am extending my arms to you, not as a leader seeking praise, but as a brother seeking partnership. Let us work together to tell the right story, not stories that divide, but stories that inspire, not stories born from heresy, but truth back by fact and courage,” he said.
While explaining misconceptions about factions and legitimacy within NANS, the president asserting the organization’s democratic legitimacy and unity.
He reiterated the administration’s vision of results-oriented action in education, empowerment, and nation-building, calling for media partnership to tell inspiring stories.
