Health Ministry tasks NANTMP new officials on unity

The Director in the Department of Traditional, Complementary and Alternative medicines (TCAM) at the Federal Ministry of Health, Hajia Zainab Sheriff, has urged the newly elected officials of the National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners (NANTMP) to come together ro move the association forward.
The Director TCAM, who stated this after the NANTMP executives were sworn in by Barr. Abdullahi M. Idrisu on Thursday in Abuja.
She said the management of the Federal Ministry of Health would continue to support the traditional medicine practitioners in the country.
She therefore, advised the entire members of NANTMP to forget what had happened in the past for the sake of peace and togetherness.
Speaking earlier, the national president of the association, Alhaji Ibrahim Dada Nakowa, said he would carry every member of the association along in the scheme of things.
He charged the traditional medicine practitioners to work in accordance with the constitution of the association.
Nakowa assured the members as well as the executives that he will work hand in hand with the Ministry of Health to move the association to the next level.
Some of the names of the elected officials are: Alhaji Ibrahim Dada Nakowa; National President, Osita Nwachukwu; Deputy President, Bamidele Fatoye; Secretary General, Mallam Mohammed Shuaibu; Assistant Secretary General, Muse Diku Adeola; Treasurer, Chinedu Otugo; Financial Secretary and the position of PRO went to Suleiman Ikpeji.
