A retired staff of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Bishop Dr. Chinyere Ilochi, has charged the Federal Government to deem it necessary to provide basic necessities of lives such as water and electricity for Nigerians.
She also urged the government at all levels to provide jobs for the graduates roaming about on the streets, calling on highly placed individuals as well as Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to engage the youths in the skills acquisition programme to alleviate their sufferings.
Bishop Ilochi, who gave the charge while speaking to newsmen in Gwagwalada during the New Year Programme of I am that I am Bible Ministry Incorporated tagged; “We must Prosper” this year.
She then appealed to Nigerians to try as much as possible to do something in order to provide food for their families, instead of depending on the government for assistance.
She called on both men and women to do the necessary things to proper in life, saying that as they prosper among the less privileged ones, they should endeavor to help the people around them.
According to her, business men and women should assist the needy in the society for them to prosper in life.
She, therefore, asked the government of the day to expedite action to reduce the prices of commodities in Nigeria, so as to enable the people to feed well.
