Senator Emmanuel Udende representing Benue North East in the 10th Senate has expressed confidence that the Court of will serve full justice for allowing his interlocutory appeal .
The Senator equally expressed confidence that Nigeria will raise above the current challenges of economic hardship as the nation clocks 63 years after independence .
In a statement made availlable to the press by his Media Adviser Jerry Iorngaem ,the lawmaker rejected the ruling of the National Assembly election tribunal which voided his victory at the February 2023 National Assembly polls and proceeded to the Court of Appeal.
While commending his team of lawyers headed by Eyitayo Fatigun, SAN, for a job well done in convincing the justices of their appellate court in the interlocutory appeal, the lawmaker assured the people of Benue North East to go about their normal businesses, knowing that the mandate they gave him at the polls remains intact.
Senator Udende notes that by the decision of the court of appeal, there is no cause to worry because it clearly shows that there was travesty of justice at the tribunal.
He equally admonished Nigerians to keep faith with the current Government adding that although there are pains and hardship ,Nigeria will certainly emerge stronger ,united and prosperous .
He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu acknowledging the economic hardship and his plans towards alleviating the sufferings of Nigeria .
He expressed hope that the palliatives and economic reforms embarked upon by the current administration and with the support of the National Assembly ,Nigeria shall rise again .
He urged all Nigerians to remain resilient and exhibit patriotism ,adding that “this is the only country that we have and we must protect it at all cost”.
