Africa Footballer of the Year and Senegalese superstar, Sadio Mane has stated that he would not be at peace with himself unless he is able to ensure a better living conditions for his people in Senegal

The Liverpool attacker who stated this in recent interview said that living luxurious lifestyle is not his priority as he is focused in making sure that his people in his community had a change of living standard.

“I don’t really pay too much attention on buying expensive cars or smart devices. My priority is always to make sure my people in Senegal they go to their beds with food, better Hospital services and schools.

“I will never rest until I made a better impact in my community.

The 2019 UEFA Champions League winner noted that he has no concerns about his fellow footballers who buy lavish cars stressing that it was their kind of lives.

“And I am real happy and proud of other footballers who spoil themselves with luxury cars and apartments. It’s their money, they also deserve to spend it in their own way,” he said.

The former Southampton player added that “For now, I have my own ideas of how to spend mine. In future I might also be able to buy luxury things, but for now I want everyone to be in better conditions back home,” he concluded.

Sadio Mane comes from the village of Bambali in Senegal.

In 2019 he donated almost $350,000 to build a school there.

This summer he has given £500 000 to fund the construction of Bambali’s first hospital for his people.
