Ignore calls for Shagaya’s removal, says Plateau APC chapter

Plateau state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the party’s national headquarters to ignore the call by certain members f the party in the state for the removal of the state chairman, Gen. John Shagaya.

Engineer Bulus Damshe Lakshek, leader of the ‘APC for All in Plateau,’ had led a group, last week to the party headquarters in Abuja, alleging the state interim chairman of bringing problems to the party and neglecting its other members.

The state interim secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Dasuki Nakande, in a release in Jos, described the members of the group as liars who intended to creat faction and in the party.

The interim secretary stated, “In complete variance to their press statement, evidences are available to show that the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the APC, after its inauguration on the 19/11/2013, have been holding meetings with Sen. JN Shagaya presiding each meeting. Lekshak, if he is a member of the IMC, may not have been attending meetings or going by his track records, he may have fabricated the lies to suit the purpose of the delegation’s visit to Abuja.”
