…meets with nationwide reps of police community relations c’ttee

The Ag. Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Suleiman Abba, yesterday in Abuja, announced the suspension forthwith of the Police Community Relations Committee (PCRC) ID cards currently in-use by its members.
According to a press statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, Ag. CP Emmanuel Ojukwu, the IGP, during an all-important meeting with the leadership of the PCRC from across the country, said this has become necessary to checkmate the illegal proliferation of the said ID card by some criminally minded elements who impersonate as members of the PCRC to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.
The statement added that a newly designed PCRC ID card will be issued to authentic members soonest.
