Imo PDP guber aspirant vows to develop agro-business

A Governorship aspirant on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), Ambassador Obi Adim has promised to turn Imo State in to an agro-allied economic, in order to ensure rapid socio-economic development of the state.

Ambassador Adim, a former special adviser to President Goodluck Jonathan on Youth empowerment, revealed in an interview, that the socio-economic development of Imo state, remain a grave concern to every serious minded citizen.

Hence he believes that time has come to assist the state to move higher on the pedestal rail of growth, through his declaration to vie for the PDP governorship ticket to seek the leadership of the state in 2015 general election.

The Imo PDP guber aspirant believes that his success as an international business can assist Imo State if given the mandate by the PDP delegates.

Accordingly, Ambassador Adim, who is an ambassador at large to the Burundian government, said he will create 50,000 jobs within the first two years on the mantle of governance of Imo state as “I have lined 10 companies that will help us achieve our objective. Some of these companies will be strategically spread in the state,with manufacturing plants in Okigwe, food processing and packaging in Owerri, ship building facility in Oguta and pre-fab factory for affordable housing in Orlu” he stated.

Mr. Adim also revealed that the hall mark of his economic policy will be to make Imo state business friendly in order to attract more companies that will continue to create employment opportunities for indigenes.

He urged the leadership and all the stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to give him the opportunity to lead the party, claiming “I have a clear vision.”
