The Otunba of Yoruba community in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Dr. Wasiu Tunwase, has urged President Muhammadu Buhari to redouble his efforts in combating terrorists ranging from herdsmen, kidnappers and Boko Haram.

He made this known while speaking to Peoples Daily Correspondent after the Sallah celebration in his residence in Zuba.

Tunwase noted that due to the security challenges facing the country the people cannot travel to some states as they want now.

He said: “President Muhammadu Buhari should try his best to see that the issue of insecurity is being given priority attention”.

He therefore, charged Buhari to seek the assistance of the International Community to put an end to the security challenges faced by Nigerians for so long now.

According to Otunba, no foreign country will like to invest in Nigeria when the country is not secured.

Speaking on the Yoruba nation/ethnic nationality, he said some Nigerians or ethnic groups were agitating for their own countries due to the security situation in Nigeria.

He, however, advised Buhari to place death sentence on the terrorists as the former President Olusegun Obasanjo did to OPC in South west during his regime.

Otunba, who is the Vice President of APC south west in the FCT, urged Yorubas and other Nigerians to pray for the security situation of the country.
