Insecurity: Jigawa ban use of motorcycles from 9pm to 6am

As part of effort to improve security situation in the state, the Jigawa state government has banned the use of motorcycles from 9p.m. to 6 a.m. across the state.
This was announced by the state ALGON chairman, Alhaji Bala Usman Chamo.
He said the decision was taken during the state security council meeting presided by governor Muhammadu Badaru Abubakar of the state.
“This is part of measures to check activities of criminal elements.
“The ban is part of the government efforts to curtail criminal elements, using motorcycles to commit crime, particularly in the rural areas of the state,” he said.
He explained that the measures were taken after the state’s Security Council. He has observed the increasing number of security threats in the state.
