Insecurity: Zamfara Governor inaugurates Agro Rangers consolidation squad

Governor of Zamfara State Dauda Lawal has inaugurated Agro Rangers Consolidation Squad prepared under the state Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) with a view to strengthen the fight against insecurity and crime waves in the state.
The Governor who charged the Rangers to be resilient and steadfast in ensuring that peace returns permanently to the state, commended the NSCDC Zamfara State Command for the timely innovation which would competently assist in liberating the state from the lingering security challenges.
The Governor said, his administration is welcoming any combative effort especially from the security agency conferred with power to battle out criminal elements from the state and nation at large, thereby promised to give all needed but maximum support to the Corps in all facets to enable it perform optimally.
Earlier, the NSCDC boss, Commandant Sani Mustapha, appraised the Agro Rangers for their gallantry during the one month refresher training which was geared towards preparing them for a holistic operational activity in line with their mandates.
Commandant Mustapha, said that the Agro Rangers are prepared to ensure a peaceful atmosphere within the hinterlands of the state and to broker peace between farmers and herders in the rural areas.
He assured unreserved efforts by the NSCDC Zamfara State Command in ensuring that peace is returned to the state to the extent conducive environments for legitimate businesses are fully observed and secured.
