Islamic Society launches Zakat, WAQF Foundation

With the aim of Managing the wealth God has has given to mankind for the benefits of all, Al- Habibiyyah Islamic Society with their commitment and Determination to collect and distribute Zakat and WAQF with the fear of Allah in Accordance to the Quranic injunction being just, open, sincere and transparent, with consciousness that Allah is all seeing, all knowing and to him shall we all return and give account, the Islamic Society has unveil and present 7 programs that will beneficiary to every Muslim faithfuls and other people in our community.

The Chief Imam. Habibiyyah Islamic Society, Imam Fuad Adeyemi in his address state the important and many advantages that this programs will bring to individual muslims and the empowerment of the needy in the Society and the positive effects on our immediate environment and country atlarge”

With the theme: “WAQF, An Endless Bliss”.
“Let me use this opportunity to said that many developed countries has attain their goals through WAQF, in some places in the world this has been their tools for the rich individuals even orgànisations to reach out to the poor and many Communities, . some other community can get social amenities through WAQF because government cannot do it alone we should join hand together in building equitable society where the poor and the public will benefit from those whom Allah has blessed for us to have a just country”. I charge those whom God has favoured to key into this programs and invest in it’.

” WAQF can be practice irespective of religious beliefs or faith, some people get wealth and when they died their wealth gone because either the heirs engage in fighting over who take what, or the said property been mismanaged but with WAQF all know problems associated will be a thing of the past.so it is beneficiaries to all.
“Infact we are taking the sensitization campaigns to many parts of the country geopolitical zones, to both mosques. Muslims clerics and even to Christian leaders , this project is beyond religion, the benefit are multifaceted, diverse and it has enormous advantages in all ramifications. Imam Adeyemi said.

to include, Faith and Philanthropy, Al,- Habibiyyah Estate Planning and Allied Services, Al,-Habibiyyah Rural Development Initiative, Diaspora Support Service, Mosque Support Services and Al- Habibiyyah Volunteer Network. this programs is to the glory of almighty Allah that people should partake “, according to the Chief Imam.

The Chairmàn of the programs launch, who is also the Chief executive officer of the Blue Camel Energy Ltd, acknowledges the merits of WAQF program and ask Muslims who are into business to build legacies that will grow business after them by been involved in this laudable project with this you can be rest assured of tomorrow .,

The key note Speaker of the Department of Economics, Bayero University Kano, who is so vast in WAQF program, said WAQF has different components,it depend on individuals, which differs from one person to another, one need to discuss on the term with the Orgànisation that is managing the WAQF program.

The Word WAQF is derived from arabic word, wa-qa-fa meaning “Halt,” “detain”, or “restrain”, it now means a property that is eternally “detained”, from personal ownership to divine ownerships upon dedication, the donor relinquishes all claims, transferring the property into the stewardship of Allah ensuring it’s enduring sanctity and utility.
