The Israeli administration is apparently under intense pressure to accept a ceasefire deal agreed to by Palestinian resistance force, Hamas, according to reports on Aljazeera yesterday.
This is coming as families of the Israeli captives held by Hamas were mounting pressure on Prime Minister, Benjamin Neyanyahu by staging protests calling on Israel to accept the ceasefire proposal agreed to by Hamas.
The Israeli Prime Minister’s office however released a statement yesterday saying the war cabinet had approved the military offensive on Rafah which it said will go on, while an Israeli delegation will at the same time attend the fresh ceasefire talks in Egypt.
Meanwhile, Palestinians took to the streets yesterday in jubilation of the acceptance of the ceasefire deal by Hamas.
Hamas chief, in call with Qatari Emir, was reported to have said Israel should accept the ceasefire proposal.
As of yesterday, there were reports of intense military operation in Eastern Rafah just when the ceasefire talks were ongoing.
