JIBWISFrom Ibrahim Sidi Muh’d, Gusau

The Chairman national council of scholars of the Jama’atu Izalatul Bid’a Wa’ikamatus Sunna (JIBWIS), Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, has alleged that there were fake security operatives serving across the legitimate security agencies in disguise.

The Islamic leader, who was in Gusau, Zamfara state capital yesterday called on the entire members of the sect to arise to contribute their quota towards ensuring adequate security for themselves and other Islamic communities, challenged the federal government to double its efforts in fishing out fake uniformed men amidst its security operatives.

Sheikh Jingir further lamented the incessant attacks on innocent citizens at any point, which he attributed to the federal government’s inability to protect their lives and properties, as enshrined in the Constitution, adding that the government cannot be exonerated from the recent merciless attack on worshippers in Kano.

He claimed that there has been an alarming number of fake policemen, soldiers, State Security Service (SSS) and other paramilitary operatives across the nation and especially North-East. “Now, no single Muslim worshipper across the North is comfortable during weekly Friday prayers and no amount of effort is witnessed from the federal government to arrest the situation”.

The sect leader called on all Muslim communities to return to God, saying it is the only shield against the devil’s agents who were on their toes to destroy Islamic religion.
