A group of patriotic men under the umbrella of Baobob stage a walk from Jigawa Television to NUJ as part of program to mark 16 days of activisms in the state.
The walk led by Baobob outreach Comrade Ibrahim Isyaku took place on Thursday with the theme, “Invest to prevent violence against women”.
He explained that, the group also called on government to fully implement VAPP law as one key measures to address Gender-Based Violences and promote human rights for both women and children.
“We appreciated Jigawa government for domestication of VAPP law, as well as appealing for fully implementation of the law to reduce violence against women in the state”, he said
Comrade Isyaku who decried slow punishment on violence against women, urged for speedy trial of perpetrators so as to serve as detriment to others.
