As part of his community social services, a member representing Birnin kudu/Buji federal constituency, Jigawa state, Hon Sabo Nakudu has built and donated a multi-million naira skills acquisition center in Birnin kudu to the state government.
Speaking at the special ceremony for the handing over of the edifice yesterday Hon Nakudu said, he built the center with the objective of complementing the effort of Governor Lamido’s administration towards job creation and poverty eradication.
Nakudu, who was represented by former Birnin kudu local government Chairman, Alhaji Sani Audu Jigawa explained that, the centre was built and designed to train youths and women on various skills to make them self-reliant and economically vibrant and productive.
According to him, the center has the capacity of training 120 persons per session on six different trades.
“The center was built and equipped with modern facilities to provide training in computer ICT, tailoring, carpentry, welding, Hair dressing and knitting”
He however promised to continue to provide support to the center and provide more dividend of democracy that would improve the lives of the teeming populace in his constituency and Jigawa state in general.
Also speaking at the occasion, the representative of the state government and also the State commissioner, Ministry of Economic and Youth Empowerment, Alhaji Abdullahi Mabo commended the member for the laudable project that is in tandem with state government policy on poverty eradication and youth empowerment
“I am also calling on Hon Nakudu to build a similar acquisition center in Buji local government for equal opportunity of accessing job training to the people of the two local governments he is representing” said commissioner.
