President Goodluck Jonathan has approved the re-appointment of Dr. Yakubu Ahmed as Chief Medical Director of Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital (UDUTH), Sokoto, for a second term of four years.
The approval is contained in a statement issued by the Deputy Director of Public Affairs of the hospital, Mr. Bello Siddique, made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Sokoto yesterday.
It stated that “the re-appointment takes effect from April 19, 2014. “Approval for the re-appointment is contained in a letter dated Feb. 19, 2014, signed by the Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu.’’
The statement quoted the minister as advising Ahmed not to rest on his oars but to regard his re-appointment as an opportunity to improve on his performance. (NAN)
