The leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, yesterday accused President Goodluck Jonathan of wasting the nation’s resources.

Tinubu, speaking at the flag-off of the APC governorship campaign in Lagos, said President Jonathan and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has failed the country, urging electorates to vote for change in February general election.

He called on Nigerians to vote for the APC presidential candidate, Mohammadu Buhari, describing him as a man of integrity and a straightforward and honest Nigerian.

Tinubu insisted that President Jonathan has failed Nigerians by replacing their joy with bad governance, unemployment and insecurity.

“Jonathan never failed except other people but luckily recently he admitted that he has failed. He has failed, no more repeat. We want Buhari! We want Buhari!! We want Buhari!!! Nigerians want Buhari! Lagos wants Buhari! Say Buhari! Jonathan must go; we want Buhari! Jonathan has destroyed our economy and he has squandered our money. He is a wasteful spender”, he said.

He said that based on what Jonathan has turned the economy to; Nigerians need an experienced person and good financial manager to manage Lagos State.

“We need somebody with financial and managerial experience to move Lagos State forward. The person that can move Lagos forward is Akinwunmi Ambode. Lagos State is not for experiment, so we cannot experiment in Lagos State,” he said.

Tinubu said the APC governorship candidate is more experienced and credible than the PDP governorship candidate, Jimi Agbaje, even as he charged the people of Lagos State to vote for APC for continuity of good governance in Lagos State.

He also noted that it will be unfair to experiment with Lagos by voting for the PDP, adding that the PDP governorship candidate was with him during the Alliance for Democracy (AD) days and he failed.

“He went to Afenifere and before Afenifere could cough, he failed. He came back to Action Congress (AC) and we accepted him. He wanted to contest against Fashola, but we told him to be patient because Fashola is brilliant, more educated and know the job more than him. He contested and failed”.
