The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani CON, has officially sworn in the 2,096 corps members (comprising of 1,036 males and 1,060 females) for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream I Orientation Course at the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Temporary Orientation Camp, Government College, Kaduna.
The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner of the Ministry of Human Services and Social Development, Hajiya Rabi Salisu, while welcoming the corps members to Kaduna State, described the State as a melting pot of Nigerians where people of different socio-cultural backgrounds live together peacefully.
He urged them to obey camp rules and regulations, be disciplined, and tolerant throughout their camping period.
The Governor also advised the corps members to acquaint themselves with the objectives of the NYSC Scheme and avoid negative tendencies such as corruption, tribalism, and religious extremism.
He declared the orientation course open and wished the corps members a hitch-free and successful exercise.
The NYSC Kaduna State Coordinator, Mrs. Efeke Murna Dadaza, thanked the Governor for providing an enabling environment for corps members to contribute to developing their fatherland.
She however, appealed to the Governor to provide a befitting permanent orientation camp, constitute the State Governing Board, and support the welfare of corps members.
The corps members will undergo training in military drills, leadership and citizenship training, language studies, entrepreneurial skills, and advocacy campaigns.
They will also participate in sports and social activities designed to promote cultural and social interaction among them.
