Kaduna business mogul lauds Tinubu over appointment of Sawyerr As NELFUND CEO

A Kaduna-based business mogul, Dr Tobi Bernard Thomas, has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the appointment of Akintunde Sawyerr as Chief Executive Officer (CEO,) of the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND)
The business Mogul who asserted during an interview with newsmen in Kaduna, explained that Sawyerr is a competent hand and a result-oriented personality with a high sense of prudence.
Dr. Thomas described the appointment of Sawyerr as the best match for the job, especially at a time like this when the educational sector of the nation is undergoing a serious reform that is capable of putting the sector on the right footing.
It would be recalled that President Tinubu recently approved the appointment of the management team for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND.)
The management team were said to have expeditiously put in place the effective take-off of the pivotal Fund for the immediate and lasting benefit of Nigerian students and families in all parts of the country.
Dr Thomas while speaking in an interview, commended the recent initiative of the NELFUND in its drive to target 1.2 million beneficiaries for the loan scheme, adding that the eligibility process and disbursement which was said to be in two segments were in the interest of the student’s well-being.
Dr Thomas who is the Kaduna State Coordinator of the Federation of Tourism Associations of Nigeria (FTAN) further said: “There is no doubt that with Akintunde Sawyerr at the helms of affairs of the NELFUND, the students stand to benefit more, and this will bring about improvement in the well-being of the Nigerian students.
