The Kaduna State Health Supplies Management Agency (KADHSMA), has completed the onboarding and distribution of Malaria, Maternal, Newborn, and Child Health medicines to primary healthcare facilities in the state, including hard-to-reach centers.
According to the Executive Secretary of the Agency, Pharm. Aisha Isyaku, all the 1062 public facilities in the state are currently enrolled in the drug revolving fund scheme.
Isyaku noted that Kaduna State has become the first state in Nigeria to achieve 100% Public Healthcare Facility Coverage in Nigeria.
This, according to her, is a great feat, which was completed on 30th April 2024.
Aisha added that “this is a sign of the unwavering commitment of Governor Uba Sani, to improving access to quality healthcare services, which will impact positively on the health of people, especially at the grassroots.
Malaria, Maternal and infant cases are expected to be on the decline with the priority attention given to it, by the Governor Uba Sani administration.
