The death has occurred of Alhaji Muhammadu Hamisu Abubakar, the father of the Chairman, Board of Directors of Kaduna Electric, Alhaji Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar yesterday in Kaduna after a brief illness at an advanced aged of 82.
A statement signed by the Head, Corporate Communication of Kaduna Electric, Abdulazeez Abdullahi described the late Alhaji Hamisu Abubakar, as he was popularly known, ‘’as a highly religious person, a community leader and a philanthropist extraordinary’’.
The statement quoted one of the deceased grand daughters, Ruqayya Hamisu Abubakar, as saying that ‘’his demise has created a great vacuum in the immediate family in particular and the community at large that may hardly be closed’’.
The late octogenarian is survived by fifteen children, thirty five grand children and four great grand children. Among his children is Barrister Yusuf Hamisu Abubakar, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Kaduna Electric, a three time Commissioner in Kaduna State and a former gubernatorial aspirant in the State.
