The Kaduna State Government has condemned the deadly attack on Naridon Village in Kamaru Ward of Kauru Local Government Area, a border community between Kaduna State and Ganawuri in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
In a statement issued on Monday, the Commissioner for Information, Malam Ahmed Maiyaki, said the attack resulted in the loss of lives and the destruction of property. He expressed the government’s deep sorrow over the incident and described the assault as unacceptable.
“The government strongly condemns the attack and has directed security agencies to intensify efforts to apprehend the perpetrators and bring them to justice,” the statement read.
Governor Uba Sani extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and prayed for the peaceful repose of the souls of those who lost their lives. He also wished those injured in the attack a speedy recovery.
The governor further directed the Kaduna State Emergency Management Agency (KADSEMA) to provide immediate relief and humanitarian assistance to affected families.
Reaffirming the administration’s commitment to ensuring the safety of residents, the government said it would continue to collaborate with the Plateau State Government, security agencies, traditional institutions, and other stakeholders to strengthen security cooperation along the Kaduna–Plateau border, restore lasting peace, and protect lives and property.
The Kaduna State Government also urged residents of the affected communities to remain calm, vigilant, and law-abiding.
“We call on citizens to support security agencies by providing credible information, reject violence, and embrace dialogue,” the statement added.
The government assured residents that it remains committed to safeguarding every community and maintaining peace, security, and social harmony across Kaduna State.
