The Governor of Kaduna State, Uba Sani, has congratulated Al’amin Muhammed Idris, Chief Executive Officer of Interface Africa, on winning the prestigious NextGen Innovation Challenge held in London. Idris’s innovative platform, Interface Africa, provides affordable solar financing to small businesses in Africa, expanding access to clean energy in underserved communities.
Interface Africa’s flagship initiatives, GreenPay and NasPoints, have powered thousands of homes and supported small businesses, reducing carbon emissions across the continent. The innovation attracted a £1.5 million investment from Pure Climate Solutions, a UK-based firm, to scale its reach across Africa.
Governor Sani described Idris’s victory as a monumental achievement and a source of pride for Kaduna State and Nigeria. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to investing in science, technology, and innovation as tools for inclusive growth and youth empowerment.

The Director-General of the Kaduna State Schools Quality Assurance Authority, Professor Usman Abubakar Zaria, hailed Idris’s achievement as a reflection of Governor Sani’s visionary leadership and sustained investment in education, innovation, and youth development.
