Kano State Governor, Abba Kabiru Yusuf, has commended President for what he described as the Federal Government’s support for key development projects in the state, urging residents to sustain their backing for the President.
According to a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, Yusuf made the remarks while presenting a Certificate of Return to Shu’aibu Rabi’u Nagogo, the newly elected representative for the Dawakin Kudu/Warawa Federal Constituency.
The governor said the partnership between Kano State and the Federal Government has produced tangible benefits, particularly in infrastructure and other development initiatives.
He noted that the state’s positive relationship with Abuja has strengthened efforts to improve the welfare of residents.
Yusuf described President Tinubu as a leader committed to national development, unity and progress, stressing that continued collaboration between both levels of government remains essential to delivering democratic dividends to the people.
He therefore called on political stakeholders and residents of Kano State to maintain unity and support initiatives that promote cooperation between the state and the Federal Government ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The governor also congratulated Nagogo on his electoral victory, expressing confidence that the new lawmaker would effectively represent the interests of constituents in Dawakin Kudu and Warawa at the House of Representatives.
Yusuf reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with the Federal Government in implementing policies and programmes aimed at improving living standards and accelerating development across Kano State.
