Kano Pillars hit Kaduna for intensive training

Champions Kano Pillars are in Kaduna for a week’s training camp ahead of the new season, officials announced.

According to the media officer of the club Rilwanu Idris Malikawa, Pillars left Kano on Sunday.

The team were led by Coach Okey Emordi, his two assistants, general co-ordinator Salisu Yaro and 30 players.

They will leave Kaduna on Friday Jos for their opening day match against newly promoted Giwa FC at the weekend.

New Pillars chairman Ibrahim Haruna charged the club to be focused and put behind their failure to go far in the CAF Champions League.

He assured them that his board will back them, while pledging to justify the confidence Governor Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso has on the new board.
