The governor noted that so far two hundred and eighty-seven samples have been collected, out of which thirty have returned positive while sixteen results are still been awaited from the NCDC laboratory in Abuja.
He explained that there were still about one hundred and thirty contacts identified across twelve Local Government Areas who have been isolated and their samples being taken for tests.
Masari disclosed that the state has four quarantine facilities with the capacity to admit two hundred and seventy-six Covid-19 patients at a time, but was focusing on prevention of the virus.
He appealed to local authorities to be vigilant of their subjects and enforce the guidelines for prevention of Coronavirus, and to report visitors in their communities for quarantine.
