The Court of Appeal, sitting in Sokoto, has struck out a suit filed by Senator Adamu Alero of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP Kebbi), challenging the decision of Federal High Court over party primary election.
Justice Mohammed Danjuma, upheld the Justice Babagana Ashigar of Federal High Court Birnin Kebbi’s judgement that produced Haruna Sa’idu as PDP candidate.
He considered all eight grounds appeal, consequently, dismissed the suit for lacked of merits.
Other respondents in the matter are Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Recall that Justice Ashigar on September 27, 2022, upheld the primary election that produced Haruna Sa’idu as authentic senatorial candidate for Kebbi Central seat.
The appallete court said he perused all the arguments presented by different Counsel, citations of court judgments and other judicial considerations and arrived at the decision.
Speaking to journalists on Thursday, the Alhaji Haruna Saidu the confirm senate candidate, commended the Nigeira Judiciary for performing a good job and promoting the Nigeria Democracy.
‘we are having full confident on our judiciary, our Democracy is safe in the hands of this present administration” he said.
He then urge all the PDP supporters to rally round and support all the party candidates in the state in order for them to win the forthcoming 2023 general elections.
