Kebbi CJ inaugurates election petition tribunal

The Kebbi State Acting Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Mohammed Suleiman Ambursa, has established 4 election petition Tribunal for the State, as well as an Appeal Tribunal in the State.
A statement signed by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary, Hussaini Abudllahi Zuru, and made available to the newsmen on Friday in Birnin Kebbi, said that the establishment of the Election Petition Tribunal was done based on the section 43 of the Local Government Law, 2008.
He said further that the affected Local Government areas are Birnin Kebbi Local Government, Arugungu Zone, Zuru/Yauri Zone, while the appeal Tribunal will be a petition tribunals with one central registry in Birnin Kebbi.
Our correspondent gathered that the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission has fixed October 26th for Local Government election. He then admonished all the politicians to be law abiding, warning that nobody should take law into his hands.
