Kebbi State Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the payment of over N3 billion as retirement and death benefits from September 2022 to date.
This is in fulfillment of his declaration before the State House of Assembly during the presentation of the 2023 appropriation bill last week to effect payment of the gratuity.
A statement signed by the Acting Head of Service, Alhaji Safiyanu Garba in Birnin Kebbi yesterday indicated that the approval by the governor followed conclusions of verification of beneficiaries of 2022 gratuity and death benefit.
The statement added that Kwaido led committee submitted one thousand, three hundred beneficiaries while the committee under the Head of Service verified a total number of one thousand, two hundred and eleven benefiting workers out of the number submitted by the Kwaido committee.
