Registrar of the newly established Kebbi State Polytechnic, Dakingari, Alhaji Halliru Bello Dakingari, has said that arrangements have been concluded by the state government and polytechnic authority for the take-off of the 2014/2015 academic season in the school.
Dakingari gave the assurance Wednesday in his office at Dakingari while interacting with newsmen.
He said from now to October, 2014, the session would commence by admitting Pre-diploma programme before the final commencement of the semesters.
He said over millions applications were received by the polytechnic for academic and non-academic positions in the institution.
He however assured applicants that merit would be followed in the employment of only qualified candidates.
“We have enough applications and I promise to employ those that are qualified to lecture and those who have been in the administrative cadre and very soon qualified candidates would be invited for interview’,’ he said.
He commended the efforts of the State Government for establishing another polytechnic in the state, describing it as “a way of reducing the high rate of unemployment and crime in the state.
