The Speaker Kebbi State House of Assembly Hon. Ismail Abdulimuminu Kamba has been impeached.
Addressing the newsmen on Tuesday at the House of Assembly complex, the House committee Chairman on information Hon.Mohammed Tukur Shanga said that the impeachment became necessary due to the irregularities and failure to follow due process.
He added further that out of the 24 members, 21 signed the impeachment while the remaining 3 failed to endorse.
He said that the new speaker had been sworn.
“Our new speaker is Mohammad Abubakar Lolo from Bagudo constituency and we have agreed with him and ready to support him. We don’t trust the former speaker”, he added.
