A body known as Kogi Democratic Forum has warned the state governor, Captain Idris Wada against returning to office all the council Chairmen in the state, recently removed by a court order.

In a statement by its President, Comrade Anokobe Yusuf and secretary, Comrade Joshua Onuh, the forum said any attempt to return the chairmen to office through the back door would cause breach of peace in the state.

“Information reaching us, indicate that some of the former council bosses have boasted to their loyalists that they would soon return to their duty post as an order had already been given from the Presidency

to that effect”.

The forum therefore warned that “any attempt to violate the order of the Koton Karfe High Court to either bring back the sacked chairmen and councilors or any form of committees at all would be resisted by the larger percentage of the people of the state who saw the decision

of the court as a big relief”.

It stressed that there were procedure on how the order of the court could be challenged in a superior court of records, saying anything short of going through constitutionality would not be tolerated.

The forum further commended the state government for complying with the order of the court, and enjoined it not to succumb to the antics of undemocratic forces.
