In effort to brige the ICT Skill gap creat Jobs for the teeming Nigerian Youths, the Gallery of Code & Chowberry INC has started the training of over 500 Nigerian Youths,through the Cyber School Africa Training program, that will enable the young Nigerians to earn a living thereby contributing to the development of the country .
In his welcome Address , the CEO Gallery of Code & Chowberry Inc, Mr Oscar Anietie Ekponimo said the CyberSchool Africa training program supported by the World Bank flagship program – Innovation Development and Effectiveness in Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) grant.
“ The development objective of Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) World Bank Project for Nigeria is to enhance the capacity of the Nigerian skills development system to produce relevant skills for the formal and informal sectors”,
“The CyberSchool training program is therefore designed to align with the IDEAS objective and serves as a catalyst for innovation and job readiness through the acquisition of skills in emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cloud Engineering and Software Engineering and multifarious digital skills”.
“In today’s rapidly evolving job market, possessing strong digital skills has become more than just an advantage—it’s often a necessity. As industries embrace digital transformation and technology continues to reshape the way we work, individuals who are proficient in digital tools and technologies stand out as highly desirable candidates for employment”
“I am a walking testament on the potentials of digital skills. I founded Africa’s first social technology called Chowberry when I was 26 from the digital skills I acquired early in my career. The technology company aggregates data on food about to get wasted and redistributes it to smilies facing hunger. So far we have successfully distributed over 1.6 million meals to persons facing hunger thereby using technology to solve a key problem”
