The Proprietor of Throneroom College of Nursing Sciences, Kafanchan, Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, has inaugurated the Board of Trustees for the newly established institution, urging members to provide the leadership needed to elevate the college to world-class standards.
Apostle Kure, who is also the Vision Pioneer of Throneroom Trust Ministry, carried out the inauguration on Thursday in Kafanchan, Jema’a Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
In his speech, he called the board a “dream Board” that will help produce world-class nursing professionals to meet healthcare needs in Southern Kaduna and beyond.
He stated that the members were chosen based on their principles, performance, and lasting legacies in their professions. He encouraged them to ensure that the college excels in curriculum, staffing, discipline, ethics, and overall standards.
He also mentioned that the institution would create opportunities for the local community and help address healthcare workforce shortages in the area.
He paid particular tribute to the Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Alheri Yusuf, for her role in helping to expedite the college’s establishment.
Kure highlighted that Yusuf, a former Director of Nursing at the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria, has also served as a consultant to organizations such as UNFPA and USAID.
He expressed optimism that the college would develop into a model of excellence, inspiring further developmental efforts in Southern Kaduna.
In her acceptance speech, the Chairman of the Board, Mrs. Alheri Yusuf, thanked the proprietor for the opportunity and pledged that the board would do its utmost to ensure the institution’s success.
She called for cooperation among board members and management staff, urging them to see their roles as a call to service to God and humanity.
Mrs. Yusuf stated that the college plans to admit students taking this year’s Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board examination and is committed to producing compassionate, qualified nurses. She also appealed to the Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area for support regarding security and access roads to the institution.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman of Jema’a Local Government Area, Mr. Peter Tanko Dogara, congratulated the proprietor and the college on the inauguration of the board.
Also speaking on behalf of traditional rulers, the Agwam Takad, Mr. Tobias Nkom Wada, thanked the proprietor for helping to close the gaps in nursing education and healthcare delivery in the region.
Those sworn in as board members include Dr. Yusuf Dawan, P.K. Ayuba (Board Secretary), Aishatu Akau, Danladi Kure Maidawa (College Registrar), Elisha Zokale (Acting Provost of the college), Dr. Joel Adze Amwe, Pastor Martha Kure, and Dr. Paul Dogo.
