Yakubu Saliu Danladi, 34, was on Tuesday elected as the speaker of the 9th Kwara state House of Assembly.
Danladi, a first timer in the Assembly is representing Ilesha/Gwanara constituency in the state House of Assembly was nominated by Saheed Popoola and was seconded by Haliru Danbaba and thereafter adopted by all the members of the Assembly.
You will recall that Hon Saheed Popoola is the only member of the house who is returning to the house after weathering the storm of decamping as the only last man standing among other law makers who did not defect with the Senator Saraki led APC defectors to PDP.
By his election, Hon Danladi has put kwara on the same page with other states where members of the’ Not Too Young To Run’ Politicians are made Speaker in line with Plateau, Bauchi and Oyo State.
An inside source revealed that the Lawmaker is the last born of his father and coincidentally is from the same parent with the present Clerk of the Kwara House of Assembly.
With the inauguration of the 9th Assembly, Kwarans are expecting a mutual working relationship with the Governor Abdulrazak Abdulrahman in the new administration in Kwara State.
