Labour Party to Oshiomhole: End casual employment regime in Edo

Deputy Chairman, Edo State chapter of Labour Party (LP), Chief Patrick Eholor has urged the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC)-led government in the state to put an end to casual employment regime in the state.

Eholor, who spoke to newsmen in Benin, said as a former president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) he fought against the evils of casual staffing in the country, However, Comrade Oshiomhole has turned around to engage youths in the state for almost seven years without integrating them into the state civil service, a disservice to what he fought for.

“He fought against casual employment as NLC president; this is the same man who as a Governor has employed thousands of youths on the platform of Edo Youth Empowerment Scheme (Edo YES), paying paltry allowance.
