Labour pickettes YEDC over retrenchment of workers

The Organised Labour in Adamawa state has picketted the Yola Electricity Distribution Company(YEDC) over arbitrary retrenchment of workers and increase in tariff. 

Addressing the labour movement at the  main gate of the YEDC cooperate head quarters in Yola Tuesday, Chairman of the NLC, Comrade Emmanuel Fashe said records at their disposal indicated that the disengagement process has not been completed.

 Among the labour movement at the venue were: Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, National Union of Electricity and Allied Employee (NUEE) , National Union of Electricity Employee and National Union of local government Employees, NULGE.

Comarde Fashe added that “as a labour movement, we will not fold our hands while some people take the laws into their hands.
