Pastor Augustine Kadurumba of the Mountain of Solution Ministry,

Akesan has been arrested and charged before an Ejigbo Magistrate’s court for impersonation and unlawful possession of Nigeria Police Identity card in Lagos.

Report, had it that Kadurumba, who was dismissed from the police force19years ago as a constable for gross misconduct, however, did not stop parading himself as policeman until he was eventually arrested.

Police sources said Kadurumba who hails from Imo state promoted himself to the rank of police Sergeant and usually upgrades his identity card as soon as he gets winds that his mates who are still serving are promoted to the next rank.

He was thereafter alleged to use the identity card to extort, harass and intimidate unsuspecting members of the public since he was officially dismissed from police service.

Luck, however, ran out of him when he went to Ikotun police to affect the release of a motorcycle seized by the police in the wake of clamp down on motorcycles by the ban on some routes by the Lagos State government.

He reportedly introduced himself as usual as a police sergeant

detective serving at Festac Area Command, but upon proper scrutiny by eagle eyed policemen it was discovered that he was actually a dismissed policeman whose last place of posting was at Ajoromi police division in Ajegunle area of Lagos.

He was subsequently arrested and charged to court on a two-court of impersonation and unlawful possession of police identity card.

He however pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The presiding Magistrate, Mr. P.E. Nwaka granted him bail in the sum of N50, 000 with two sureties in like sum.

He was remanded in prison custody pending the fulfillment of his bail condition. The case was adjourned till November 15, 2014.
