Late Emir of Daura’s Wife Seeks More Support For Orphans

The wife of the late Emir of Daura, Dr. Halima Mamman Bashar has called for more support for the less privileged across Africa in order to build an inclusive and humane society.
She particularly enjoined African women to inculcate positive attitude in children so as to grow up as better citizens committed to the growth and development of their society.
Dr. Halima gave the advice shortly after she was decorated as Distinguish Mother of African Orphans by the Council of African Chiefdom and the Arewarmu Duniyarmu Initiative, in Abuja.
She said humanity must not be indifferent to the challenges facing orphans and other less privileged members of the public.
“At special times take your children and wards to orphanages and spend time with them, in such a way that your children become conscious of the difference between them and the need to bridge the gaps.” she said.
Dr Halima commended the Council of African Chiefdom for sensitizing people and governments across the continent on the challenges being faced by orphans, the need to build more orphanages and improve the welfare and well-being of orphans.
