Lawan empowers 6,766 of his constituents in Yobe North

The former Sresident, Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, on Monday launched a mega empowerment distribution of entrepreneurship materials in Yobe North Senatorial District, at the township stadium, Gashu’a, the headquarter of Bade LGA.
The items distributed by Sen. Lawan includes, Land Cruiser Jeeps to the six APC party Chairmen of the Senatorial District, Peaugeot 406 to Secretaries of the party; Peaugeot 307 to Coordinators, Peaugeot 307 to the Youth leaders, Sharon Buses to Women Leaders respectfully.
Others are Tractors, Rice milliers, combined harvesters, Hand Tractors, Rice planters, fire fighting truck, 18-seater buses, fridge, freezers, tricycle carriers, tricycles, Keke NAPEP, Motorcycles, grinding machines, sewing machines, water pump, hand sprayers, Pot and stove, Generators, small harvesters among other.
In his welcome address, the Chairman Caretaker Committee Bade LGA, Alhaji Ibrahim Babagana said that Governor Mai Mala Buni has always said, micro, small and medium businesses are always the engines that power lasting and sustainable economic growth. Small businesses are at the forefront of generating employment and providing a means of livelihood to countless people.
“But government alone cannot facilitate small business growth or provide the funds, materials and equipment needed to take many of our jobless youths off the streets. Our political and business leaders and other individuals with the means to help have to step in.
“This is why I make bold to say that the Sardaunan Bade is a messiah for the people of Yobe Zone C. For many years, he has remained at the forefront of providing support to the people of this zone in ways we can hardly enumerate here”.
Mr. Chairman said, “On behalf of the people of Bade Local Government area, i want to express our gratitude to the Sen. Ahmed Lawan for everything he is doing for the people.”
In his remarks, Senator Ahmed Lawan thanks the Yobe state Governor, Mai Mala Buni for blessing the program with his presence. He added that the Governor has been giving them all the support they needed by providing them with good leadership.
