Date:

From Uche Nnorom, Makurdi

Benue State Governor Rev. Fr. Hyacinth Alia has admonished the people to resist being swayed by desperate, selfish and disgruntled politicians who are only interested in weaponizing them to cause divisions, mischief and disharmony in the State.
The Governor’s admonition was contained in his Christmas message to Benue people on Monday.
He also, asked them to most importantly, watch out especially for those who have abdicated their primary legislative responsibilities which “you voted them to Abuja to perform”.
Peoples Daily recalled that recently,Benue Caucus at the National Assembly led by Sen. Titus Zam representing Benue North West Senatorial District at a press conference in Abuja, lambasted the Governor describing him as a ‘dictator’.
Replying, Governor Alia through his Chief of Staff Paul Biam had accused Abuja politicians of destabilizing his administration.
“Be very wary of them at this crucial period as they have sadly failed to jointly sponsor even one newsworthy bill in the whole of the last six months, but have rather resorted to poisoning your minds with hate in a bid to divide and conquer.
“Always watch out for their media propaganda often couched in press conferences, staged video clips, doctored audio files and messages”.
