There was a sad news on Tuesday evening when it was announced that former Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder Ray Kennedy has died at the age of 70.
Kennedy, who scored three times in 17 appearances for England, was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 1984.
He scored 71 goals in 212 games for Arsenal, winning the First Division and FA Cup Double in 1971, before joining Liverpool in 1974.
During an eight-year spell at Anfield, where he scored 72 goals in 393 appearances, Kennedy won five league titles and three European Cups.
It’s time to make Barcelona great again – Alves
Daniel Alves recognises Barcelona is very different to the club he left five years ago and have declared Bethany “it was time to make the team great again”.
Alves returned to sign to the end of the season after coming off contract at Sao Paulo. He will be formally registered as a Barca player from January 1.
“My return to Barcelona? The feeling is different,” said the veteran fullback.
“The situation is more difficult and we have to try to do it right. We are in a phase of reconstruction, the club must become great again.”
