The Executive Chairman of Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) in the FCT, Hon. Christopher Zakka Maikalangu, has urged the entire residents of the area to pay the revenue taxes/levies to the AMAC designated account.
He also charged the residents not to pay the revenue taxes cash to the revenue collectors.
Maikalangu, who made the disclosure during the press briefing on Tuesday at the council chamber, saying that his leadership will continue to fight fake revenue collectors.
According to him, “the government at all levels work better when the external generated revenue is paid by the citizens, especially when the payments are made and collected without any problem”.
He, therefore, called on the residents to deem it necessary to pay the accumulated arrears, levies or taxes from now to the end of July, 2024 pointing out that the Council would take legal action against those who refused to comply.
He then said that his administration would focus on the external generated revenue in order to carryout developmental projects at the grassroots level.
Maikalangu, however, advised the entire residents to always comply with the management of the Area Council by paying the revenue levies promptly.
