From Lawal Sa’idu Funtua, Katsina
All Progressive Congress, APC gubernatorial candidate in Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari has vowed that public servants including himself must send their children to public schools if he wins the forthcoming gubernatorial election in the state.
Masari stated this yesterday in Katsina while inaugurating three committees, the committees of water resources, health and energy to advise him on what to present to the public as his proposed master plan in these areas for electorates in the state.
He added “we are all beneficiaries of a sound public school system in the past. The system of education in Katsina state has collapsed and the only way to revive it is for the leaders to have their children attending these schools”.
The gubernatorial candidate further decried the dearth of teachers in critical subjects in these public schools in Katsina state, arguing that in Katsina state only structures exist in some areas without personnel to man them.
